Losses arising from concealed damage, unreported hazards, or structural weaknesses
Clients agree to indemnify SunWise Solar Cleaning against claims where pre-existing conditions or non-disclosure contributed to the damage.
12. Clear Coat & Surface Coating Disclaimer
Many solar panels include a clear protective or anti-reflective coating designed to improve efficiency.
These coatings naturally degrade over time due to UV exposure, heat, and environmental wear.
When aged coatings become soft or brittle, minor surface marks or micro-scratches may occur during standard cleaning, even with soft brushes and purified water.
By engaging SunWise Solar Cleaning, the client acknowledges that:
We use non-abrasive, industry-approved cleaning techniques;
We are not liable for wear, scratches, or coating degradation resulting from ageing or pre-existing coating failure; and
Any visible coating change after cleaning is considered a result of natural ageing, not negligence.
13. Warranty & Re-work
If you are unsatisfied with a cleaning outcome, contact us within 48 hours of service completion.
We will inspect the issue and, if valid, re-clean the affected area at no charge.
Claims made after 48 hours will not be accepted.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Any disputes will be handled in the jurisdiction where the service was performed.

Surface Condition Disclaimer – Solar Panel Coatings
While every effort is made to ensure safe and non-abrasive cleaning methods, SunWise Solar Cleaning accepts no liability for any deterioration, scratching, or visible wear that may occur to a solar panel’s surface coating, clear coat, or anti-reflective layer as a result of pre-existing age, weathering, or manufacturer wear.
The surface coatings on solar panels naturally degrade over time due to exposure to UV radiation, heat, and environmental factors. In some cases, these coatings can become soft, brittle, or uneven. Where such ageing has occurred, minor scratching or surface marks may become visible during standard cleaning — even when correct and industry-approved cleaning methods are used.
By accepting a service quotation or booking with SunWise Solar Cleaning, the client acknowledges and agrees that:
The company cannot be held responsible for any coating damage, delamination, or optical changes caused by the pre-existing condition, age, or manufacturer defects of the panels.
The company uses non-abrasive cleaning tools and purified water systems, but cannot guarantee that aged coatings will not react or show signs of deterioration.
Any visible changes to coating appearance post-cleaning shall be deemed a result of normal wear and ageing, not negligence or misuse.
This disclaimer applies to all solar panel coatings, including but not limited to: anti-reflective coatings, hydrophobic/nano coatings, clear coats, or manufacturer-applied protective layers.
